Who We Are
DOMINIC LUCERO
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER
Dominic has been an outdoorsman his whole life. He was raised in Denver's Northside Neighborhood. Prior to his founding Colorado Treks, Dominic spent 15 years serving the youth of Denver as a Special Education Paraprofessional, Dean of Students, and Resotrative Approaches Coordinator. With a strong passion for giving back to the community, Dominic wants to provide an opportunity for youth and families to experience their state's beauty and cultivate the confidence to succeed in school, life, and beyond.
EDWINA LUCERO
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Edwina was a self-proclaimed anti-outdoorswoman until she saw the magic that the medicine of the mountains can do for communities and families with Colorado Treks. She is a former educator, and spent most of her 20-year teaching career in Denver Public Schools, working to increase equity and access to arts education.
MANUEL RAMIREZ
OUTDOOR PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
Manuel is a lifelong lover of the outdoors, having grown up camping, fishing, and hunting in the mountains of Colorado. Manuel's mission is to help create opportunities to the same type of experiences he had growing up, for the youth, community, and families that Colorado Treks serves.
NATALIE ACEVES
PROGRAMS MANAGER
Natalie grew up in the California desert, where she fell in love with exploring the outdoors and connecting with nature. Her unique upbringing gave her a deep appreciation for the natural world and sparked her interest in sustainable living.
